The extraordinary thing about women with chronic pelvic health conditions is how they soldier on. Some may say they have no choice because their home won’t clean itself, their kids need feeding, they need to keep a roof over their heads, and a myriad of other reasons.
But still. It’s impressive. And it merits recognition. That’s what EveryWoman Day does this Saturday, September 3rd, and you can be part of the movement towards better recognition of women’s health conditions and ultimately better treatment options.
EveryWomanDay.com is a place where women can share their stories, to help, support and inspire others. Every year, it raises awareness but this year is particularly powerful because there is a bit of political momentum.
With this as the backdrop, there is an opportunity for people to understand the whole-life impact of chronic women’s health conditions, not just the need for medical input.
EveryWoman Day helps us to do this by providing a space to share stories that help and support others on the website, and to Like and Share the campaign on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter.
These diseases can happen to Every Woman regardless of race, socio-economic background, size, shape or age. There’s a chance that a woman you know is suffering in silence – it could even be your mother, auntie, sister or cousin.
Women who live with Chronic Pelvic Pain conditions have to make heroic efforts just to keep day-to-day life ticking over.
And yet most go over and above that to provide practical help for others, kind words, warm smiles and loving listening. EveryWoman Day is about ordinary women doing extraordinary things every day.
Women are inspiring, resourceful, strong and wonderful. They deserve to be acknowledged and applauded.
Let’s get together via EveryWoman Day to support each other, Every Woman, with the aim of bringing comfort and cures closer through the political impetus that exists right now.
You or women you know can upload your story using the form on the EveryWoman Day website. Your story counts. Or you can Like and Share the campaign on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter.
